Groups conceptual frameworks, fundamental disciplinary and methodological notions, as well as university induction activities.
MINOR

Free-choice subjects that complement professional training, according to different disciplinary and/or professional fields. May include organized sets of 3 subjects from any department if you wish to obtain the Complementary Studies Diploma.
MAJOR

Promotes the application of knowledge in a specific professional field and trains students for responsible performance.

ASE

Curricular spaces that promote interdisciplinarity and whose intention is for students to evaluate, integrate and apply the acquisition of generic and professional competencies.
AFAS

Curricular space that aims to strengthen social commitment and responsibility through direct contact with the country's reality and professional attention to vulnerable groups and/or communities in need.
ARU

Contributes to the comprehensive training of students considering their autonomy and commitment, enabling them to propose conscious, responsible and critical actions in the face of the challenges of their social and environmental context.

The graduate has the responsibility to promote the application of knowledge for the solution of problems that currently afflict the world, such as climate change, the implementation of renewable energies, the health of the population, water scarcity, food security, among others.

- Provide innovative and creative solutions to the problems faced by chemical engineering, which contribute to the growth of the national and world chemical industry, considering sustainable development and scientific and technological advances.

The curriculum contemplates scientific-technological aspects and takes into account the growing concern regarding the existing relationships between economic, social, and environmental development that lead to sustainable development. Furthermore, it contributes to the training of professionals who have the capacity to develop, adapt, and manage integrally sustainable industrial processes.

The Universidad Iberoamericana is oriented towards comprehensive humanistic training sensitive to the reality of the country. In addition to technical and economic aspects, ethical aspects related to professional practice are considered. The Chemical Engineering program is enriched by the exchange of ideas through interaction with students from other disciplines in the university reflection and departmental service subjects (mathematics, physics, economics, and administration), coupled with the incorporation of current topics such as sustainable development, alternative energies, new materials, among others.
