The Theological Sciences plan addresses what is established by Christian sapientia, along with a background of theoretical knowledge that allows for the analysis of ecumenical issues with diversified understanding. It grounds social incidence processes, from the perspective of the Common Home, gender, interculturality, and evangelical values.

BASIC

Groups conceptual frameworks, fundamental disciplinary and methodological notions, as well as university induction activities.
MINOR

Free-choice subjects that complement professional training, according to different disciplinary and/or professional fields. May include organized sets of 3 subjects from any department if you wish to obtain the Complementary Studies Diploma.
MAJOR

Promotes the application of knowledge in a specific professional field and trains students for responsible performance.

ASE

Curricular spaces that promote interdisciplinarity and whose intention is for students to evaluate, integrate and apply the acquisition of generic and professional competencies.
AFAS

Curricular space that aims to strengthen social commitment and responsibility through direct contact with the country's reality and professional attention to vulnerable groups and/or communities in need.
ARU

Contributes to the comprehensive training of students considering their autonomy and commitment, enabling them to propose conscious, responsible and critical actions in the face of the challenges of their social and environmental context.

The Bachelor's Degree in Theological Sciences at Ibero brings together solid academic quality that allows it to compete with other theological programs and those in the field of religious sciences. It focuses on the analysis of the religious phenomenon and studies its historical aspects and the methodologies through which a dialogue with the great religions is established.

The Ibero program provides an open, human, and balanced vision in three areas: theological, philosophical, and ecumenical, striving to contribute not only to a dialogue with other religions but also to the search and reflection of solutions for cross-cutting ecumenical, religious, and human problems. Furthermore, it seeks to address different issues creatively and from an ethical and theological perspective, offering its students tools to be able to identify, contextualize, and translate social problems.

In the face of a neoliberal socioeconomic scenario, a contextualized theological reflection is necessary, one that gives reason for our hope, that arises from accompanying vulnerable groups, that promotes, with creativity and through discernment, the accompaniment of people, social and religious organizations, in university reflection spaces, NGOs, community promotion centers, and local churches. This will allow for proposing answers to current social needs in Mexico and the world.
